Letter from the Editor

Dear reader,

It’s crazy that after over a year of dedication, you’re actually reading this magazine. This was definitely a labor of love, but also a lot of hard work.

I was so privileged to get to talk with so many amazing people, and even visit a couple places for these stories. Climate change is a devastating phenomenon, and we are seeing so many impacts globally. But there are also so many people and groups doing groundbreaking work to implement just and sustainable solutions in all types of sectors. Food, psychology, technology, and even urban planning.

Overall, what I want people to get from this magazine is that yes there is climate change, but no we are not doomed. There are so many solutions that we can implement, both on a personal and industrial level. I can’t wait to share them with you.

A huge thank you to my advisor and reader for this project, whom without this would not be possible. Professor Brown for her expertise in magazine writing and journalistic prowess. Professor Perreault for his expertise in geography and other environmental matters. Their guidance was truly instrumental to this magazine’s success.

And of course, a huge thank you to my parents, family, and friends for their unwavering support and love.
My parents have always been my rocks, and their support throughout this project truly meant the world to me. This magazine would not be what it is today without them.

So kick back, relax, and enjoy Green Horizon.

Inspirationally,

Kira
